Many folks who visit this page are either in pain, or know someone in pain. If you are hurting, it is my hope that you'll soon find the comfort and support you need. Perhaps counseling can be a part of that support.
People who seek counseling are usually up against one of two challenges:
1) A crisis event has turned life upside down. The death of a loved one, the loss of a job, the discovery of marital infidelity are a few examples of crises that can leave one feeling helpless and hopeless.
2) An ongoing difficulty is finally demanding attention. Chronic depression, addictions, family or marital tensions are a few examples of circumstances that can slowly wring the satisfaction from life. Unsettling shifts in one's spiritual and religious experience can also fit into this category.
If you (or someone you care about) is wrestling with such circumstances, please know that life can be pulled back together. You probably have seen other people discover new sources of strength and support in difficult times. You may need fresh hope that you will too.
If you are wondering if I might be of some help to you, then I welcome your phone call (254-498-7176) or your e-mail ( WMEades@gmail.com). You can tell me a little about your situation and ask me whatever questions you need to ask in order to decide what will work for you. Here's some information about my practice that will also be important for you to know.
Fees The fee for counseling is $115/session (usually 45-55 minutes). Payment is due at the end of each session. In cases where health insurance covers a portion of the fee, I'm glad to accept the co-payment.
Financial Support I have some access to financial support for persons who cannot afford the full cost of counseling and who do not have health insurance coverage. Financial support is considered on a case by case basis, and I would be glad discuss this with you by phone or e-mail.
Health Insurance Many health insurance policies provide coverage for counseling. I will be glad to file on your health insurance benefits. Please call your health insurance company and confirm coverage. The health insurance form will help you know what questions to ask.
