I'm no stranger to depression and anxiety.  There have been times in my life when the stresses and strains have caught up with me, forcing me to reexamine my faith and my goals.  These periods of life in the shadows have generally seemed worth the pain.  I was pushed toward resources that I doubt I would have discovered any other way.  However, I know that if you are currently experiencing depression, anxiety, or both, that life can seem so dark and hopeless.  My prayer is that you can find some encouragement here.  Below you will find links for some articles, as well as links for books that been a source of growth for both me and my clients.

If you are curious about medications for depression, please see Medications for Depression (I do not endorse this sight.  It is one of many where information on medications may be found).  At this writing, the most recent antidepressant on the market is Lexapro.  Because of its fairly recent introduction, it may not be on some lists found on the web.  Information about Lexapro can be found at Lexapro.  Please keep in mind that this site is provided by the company that makes and markets this medication

Many people find  The Enneagram to be a helpful inventory.  The Enneagram may provide insight into sources of depression, as well as offer ideas on how you can move beyond depression.
